    Athletic intentions

In a valiant attempt to be healthier lab rats, QY and I made a purposeful visit to the gym during the lunch time today.

After an hour of brisk walking on the treadmill, 'rowing' on a mechanical canoe (or what the machine was supposed to simulate), climbing an endless flight of steps, cycling, leg raises and crunches, we left the gym with sore and achy muscles.

    At least I did.

All the fitness and stamina built up during those squash-playing days have long gone with the unending snacking, pigging out and lack of inactivity especially so during the exam period.

It's time to make a positive change! We're determined to hit the gym at least twice a week and probably an occasional swim...

Now I need to rest my sore limbs and recuperate before my first squash session in donkey months this Friday. I just hope that the guys will be more benevolent during the game.
