    Shark Attack... again

One of my worst fears came to live yesterday, in the late of the night, killing off almost every bit of joy that was stimulated during my grandma's birthday celebration.

    I broke out in rash.

I just don't get it. I was fine when I had shark's fins during reunion dinner earlier this year. And now, another 5 months later, I indulge in 'Premium' shark's fins at a restaurant and I break out in allergy.

It's been 10 years since I was able to savour the delicacy without having to suffer the health complications thereafter. I really can't think of reasons why, only after my 1oth birthday or so, I've developed intense sensitivity to the fish.

I think the reason is plain and simple. The sharks hate me.

    Bleah.

If environmental/wildlife activists are laughing at my misfortune, please be kind and remember that I didn't order the delicacy, and not eating doesn't mean one less bowl is prepared, but just one person getting more fins.

So anyway, other than the rashes part, I had a wonderful time with my extended family. Although not everyone came, it's a rare occasion that we get to meet up, have dinner and catch up with each other.

As usual, when I got together with my best cousin, Becca, we ended up doing silly things like this:

And all the days when we used to 'compose songs' and play with dolls just came flooding back...

I didn't manage to take any good group pictures (mainly because I wasn't the photographer; it really takes some skill and steady hands to use my tiny camera) so I'll upload them a little later once I get them from my dad and cousin's cameras.

Meanwhile, here's to my amazing grandma who's still super sharp and quick-witted (kudos to the mahjong sessions!) - HAPPY BIRTHDAY AH MA!
