    Beyond an aimless existence

    Some people live for love.
For some, the money they could make.
Some, just out of routine - for the sake of living.
And some who are simply living because they are not dead.

What gives you the will to get up in the morning?
What is it that you look forward to in your waking moments?

Can man live without a purpose?

If not, I am therefore dead.

The yearning for something beyond the secular; something that fulfills.

    A destiny.

    hi joy,

maybe you could try a little charity work. be a volunteer somewhere and make a difference in someone else's life, or just go out of your way to be help someone without expecting anything in return. if everything you do in life is somewhat geared towards personal achievement and gain -the typical singaporean trait: treating everything in life as a commodity- it is only matter of time that life feels aimless, colourless and bland. life is much more than accomplishing great things or gaining some measure of status.

probably God isn't giving you a lot of things in life right now. take a lesson from that. maybe God's prompting you to do some giving instead. God gives everybody unique abilities, talents, and a heart. find out what they are and use them. i hope you'll find some happiness and strength therein.

Agree with ian. but i wld like to go one step further.. why not dedicate ur life to givin? we onli spent such a short time livin, why not use it to be a lit difference in e lives of others. personal accomplishment doesnt realli seem to mean much in the larger scheme of things anywae.., why not aim to have the world be a better place with u around instead? n i feel tat tat can be done by simply treasurin ur loved ones n bein there fr them.. doin things tat make them more confident of themselves, helpin them through as they face difficult times in their lives. why not let it be that with u arnd, pple are happier n better pple than they wld be without you. -smile- ur name is joy rite? guess ur parents must haf a reason fr givin u such a name. n e world cld be as equally blessed with u arnd. cheers!
